A Cage Without Bars

This project was created as a technical practice in working with drivers in Blender, while also serving as an artistic statement.
The entire scene is built exclusively using drivers.
There is no traditional keyframe animation for the environment — all transformations and behaviors are controlled autonomously by a single system.
The only animation in the scene is the character’s movement, which acts as a trigger for the entire system.
The scene represents a closed space in which characters move aimlessly along predefined trajectories.

Artistic interpretation.
This composition is a metaphor for the personal prison of a modern individual — a state of constant movement without real progress, and the absence of an end goal within a rigid, predefined system.

The black-and-white color palette is intentionally minimalistic.
It reflects the imposed division of worldview into “black” and “white,” where nuances, context, and the complexity of the life path are lost.
The geometric grid and repetitive forms emphasize the sense of cyclicality and the loss of individuality within a closed system.

This project is a study of:
- a procedural approach to scene construction
- the potential of drivers as an alternative to classical animation
- the combination of technical logic with artistic meaning
